Q. What age division is my child playing in this season?
A. Fall 2021 begins a new AYSO year. Much like a school year, players will play in a division in the fall and stay in the same division the following spring. Divisions by birth year:
Playground 1/1/2014 to 9/8/2015
6U - born in 2016
8U - born in 2014 & 2015
10U - born in 2012 & 2013
12U - born 2010 & 2011
14U - born 2008 & 2009
16U - born 2006 & 2007
Q. When does the Fall Season start?
A. Our Fall Season starts with practice in August.
Q. When does the Spring Season start?
A. Our Spring Season starts with practice in mid-February.
Q. What is the fee to play?
A. Our core program is $155 for 6U and up and $80 for Schoolyard.
Q. When and where are games played?
A. Playground to 12U games are played on Saturdays at the Reid Park. 14U-16U may interplay with nearby regions and half of those games may be at a different location.
Q. What days and times will my son or daughter have practice?
A. Our coaches are volunteers so we let them choose the practice dates. You will need to wait until your child is placed on a team and the coach contacts you. If their practice schedule does not work for you, you can fill out a drop form and receive a partial refund. We cannot move the player to another team. Practice for 6U is generally once a week for one hour. Practice for 8U and up is generally twice a week for an hour each day.
Q. What equipment does my child need?
A. Shin guards mandatory for all players. They cannot practice or play without them. Shin guards must be completely covered by socks. Cleats are strongly recommended. A soccer ball is also necessary. Size 3 for Playground - 8U, size 4 for 10U-12U, Size 5 for 14U and above.
Q. What happens if my child's team does not get a coach?
A. AYSO is an ALL volunteer organization and we rely on parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and family friends to volunteer as coaches for your children's teams. If no one from a team steps up to volunteer as a team coach, then we are left with no alternative but to disband the team. This is a last resort, but without volunteers we can not have a team.
Q. It's getting close to the season and I haven't heard from a coach. What do I do?
A. Be patient. Coaches only receive their teams when they have met volunteer requirements. If you have not heard from a coach by August 3rd contact your coordinator. You can find their email under the about us tab on the home page.
